Japanese pop culture has genre called "TOKUSATSU".
 For example, Masked Rider series and the squadron.
These are famous for being televised on Sunday morning.
I watghed them on TV on young age.

You can also see them at the cosplay event.

Singing Japanese animation songs in English 2

May 23 I went to a park in Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture.
It is to play the guitar with MASA who was guitar unit. 

There was about an hour by the meeting time, so I was playing the guitar in the park.
Then a man about 20 years old requested songs.

I played the English version of "Cruel Angel 's Thesis".
This song is the opening song of "Neon Genesis Evangelion".
He seems to have been fresh for English "cruel angel 's thesis".

I got momentum on my plan for singing anime songs in English.

Rugby World Cup draw in Kyoto

Rugby World Cup combination drawing was held in Kyoto City on May 10.
It is the first time for draws to be held outside the UK and Ireland.
I am also honored as a Kyoto citizen.

Yasaka Shrine

The World Cup will be held in Japan in 2019.
Though Japanese team is still not strong, I would like to expect the team's success.
And if you read this, your country will play, I also want to pray for your country's success.

Singing Japanese animation songs in English

What I am aiming for recently is singing Japanese anime songs in English.
Because my original songs are heard more abroad than in Japan.
I want to live music overseas.
Also, I want to live music for those who visit Japan.

So, what I am practicing now is the song of the animation "Neon Genesis Evangelion".
For me it is difficult to sing in English.
However, I trust that practice will overcome difficulties.

I am looking forward to the day you can let the song be listened to in my English.

Fun of the cosplay event in Japan

Cosplay is essential to talk about contemporary Japanese pop culture. 
It is , in short, "costume play". And it is a type of performance art to enjoy contents as being dressed as animation and game characters with wearing costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea.
Events that enjoy cosplay are held on holidays throughout Japan. 
On April 30, I enjoyed the cosplay event held in Kyoto. Various coslayers competed for beauty and expression. The picture is a character "Rem:" which appears in "Re: Zero world life starting from zero". The cosplayer  is Kanami. 

Kanami attracted many photographers.

I was impressed by her expressiveness. If you are interested in Japanese pop culture, please look over the cosplay event during the trip to Japan!
