The Soul of Cherry Blossoms: Whispers from Hyakunin Isshu

I am the Pop-cult Tanka Master. Today, I step away from modern icons to touch the roots of my art: Hyakunin Isshu (The Anthology of 100 Poets).
In Japan, the cherry blossom (Sakura) is not just a flower. It is a symbol of transience, beauty, and the "Monono-aware" spirit. By looking at ancient poems, we can understand why Japanese people—and anime characters—always look at falling petals with such deep emotion.
Through #PopWaka, I inherit the eyes of these ancient poets to see the modern world.
3. Featured Poem (百人一首より)
The cherry blossom in Nikko

ひさかた
光のどけき
春の日に
しづ心なく
花の散るらむ
Hisakata no / Hikari nodokeki / Haru no hi ni / Shizu-gokoro naku / Hana no chiruran
On this tranquil day of spring,
Where the sun shines with such peaceful light,
Why do the cherry blossoms scatter
With such restless, hurried hearts?
